I think this is a pretty awesome idea. GoodSearch is a search engine that lets you raise money for your charity whenever you search the Internet. It donates at minimum 50% of the money earned from advertisers for every one of your searches. Talk about the definition of making money without doing anything. All you do is search as normal but with a different search engine. And even if you want to be a snob and say "but it's just not as good as such-and-such" well first of all it is, and secondly you can still use that too. Really, there are more search engines than just google people. Try using multiple ones and you'll come up more results, I always have, especially for obscure searches.

Anyway, this wasn't supposed to be an angry rant about google's attempt at world domination, but about just what a brilliant idea and resource this website is. Earn money for your favorite charities just by searching. You can see how much money has been raised and you can even add it to your browser and everything. It's pretty cool.

hey all. I've been lurking here for awhile and finally got an account. and now I've decided I should probably post to my own journal. I'm not too good at this writing and posting thing, especially not that update thing (blasphemy!), so I'll probably just post when I'm in a mood to write. since that mood is usually the crazy-hyper-up-the-wall kind of mood my post will mostly be rambling...a lot of rambling...and won't make any sense. this would have been better but my first finished draft got mysteriously deleted. *sigh* oh well.

by-the-by, I mostly use this account to read fanfiction. if anyone is actually reading this, ever, I promise I'm much more interesting and energetic when talking about fanfiction. I've never been very fond of this "tell me about yourself" crap.
